Bug Tracking

A very informative and likewise entertaining contribution about bug tracking can be found at following web site: www.joelonsoftware.com

Maintaining a good structured bug database is essential for the quality of the software, because it is the foundation for fixing bugs and keeping track of problems. SqlDBU includes all necessary features to maintain such a bug database for it's own problems during the whole life cycle.

Americans use to say "eat your own dog food" which is a pretty nice description for the process of using your own product. It's the most efficient way to be your first beta tester as well as to be able to reproduce your customers problems as easy as possible. For more information see "What is the Work of Dogs in this Country?".

SqlDBU is able to maintain it's own bug database so I decided to do it right here. It enables you to access information about known problems, their fixes and the way, SqlDBU actually works.

If you find a problem while working with SqlDBU, don't hesitate to create a new entry for the bug database. Please deliver as much information as possible by filling the bug data form. Click following Login Link in order to enter the SqlDBU Login dialog. Use guest as login id, guest as Password and click the login button. Now you should have reached the main dialog page where you can select table bug (Bug Tracking).

Another option to reach the mentioned page is to use this shortcut leading you straight to table Bug Tracking.

If you don't want to post a bug report just go ahead and log in as well in order to learn more about SqlDBU and how this software works. Some options however are disabled for security reasons when using the Guest account. In these cases you will see captions of disabled links instead of the actual link.

Note: For enhancement request and other suggestions use the discussion forum rather then Bug Tracking Database.
